      Obituary: Kansas City Star, Sunday, April 27, 1997

      Charles W Bruemmer, 65, of Prairie Village KS, passed away April 25 1997 at the Medicalodge, Kansas City KS.
      Memorial Services will be 1pm Tuesday, April 29 at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, burial at DeSota Cemetery (Kansas). Friends may call from 6-8pm Monday at our Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to VFW Post 6654, DeSoto KS 66108. Charles was born in Orange City IA on Sept 4 1931. He was a decorated Army veteran of the Korean War. He belonged to the VFW Post 6654 DeSoto KS and the AARP.

      Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Shirley, of the home; son, Kevin & Lisa Bruemmer of Shawnee KS; daughters Marla and Tracy Foulk of Cunningham KS; and Carla and Howard Anderson of Blue Springs KS; brother, K.C. Bruemmer; niece, Nancy Hinton, Gardner KS as well as three grandchildren.

      note: Nancy Hinton is the daughter of a sibling, not from the Mathia/Bowling side.

      Chuck was cremated with interment at Silent City Cemetery.
